BePink 2023: many confirmations and two new entries for the Lombard team

In January, debut in blue-magenta for the young Alessia Patuelli and Andrea Casagranda

With 2022 now nearing its end, BePink is looking with enthusiasm and determination to the new year and the new competitive season, preparing to make the most of the sporting challenges that will soon await it both on Italian and international roads.

From this perspective, from January the Lombard team will be able to count on a partially confirmed lineup and also on some new entries.

In 2023, Silvia Zanardi, Matilde Vitillo, Valentina Basilico, Matilde Bertolini, Letizia Brufani, Lara Crestanello, Markéta Hájková, Nora Jenčušová, Prisca Savi, Jade Teolis and Giorgia Vettorello will still wear the blue-magenta livery.

All these athletes contributed to building the excellent year experienced by BePink, which was able to celebrate 23 successes (on road and track) and the European titles aboard the fixed gear bike of Zanardi and Vitillo.

NEW-ENTRY – Certainties, therefore; but also news: the BePink staff is enriched, in fact, with the arrival of two new athletes, Alessia Patuelli and Andrea Casagranda.

Patuelli is from Imola (BO) and was born on 22 December 2002. An all-rounder, she comes from a family closely linked to two wheels (her father, Andrea, raced among the professionals in the nineties) and has spent two years in the World Tour with Alé BTC Ljubljana and, then, with UAE Team ADQ, where he was able to gain important experience.

Andrea Casagranda will make his debut in the top category. Born in 2004 (she celebrates her birthday on September 22nd) she is a long distance runner from Borgo Valsugana (TN) and she comes from Asd Breganze Millenium.

She is the daughter of former professional Stefano and is preparing to make her debut among the Elite thanks to the good results achieved among the Juniors. Furthermore, in October you won the Italian title in the team time trial, while in March you received a call-up to the national team for the Gent-Wevelgem, Nations Cup event.

“We are happy to welcome Alessia and Andrea to the team,” said Team Manager Walter Zini. “Both are young and very promising. We are eager to start working with them and we are sure that they will be a great added value for BePink. The girls who remain with us are certainly a certainty. Some of them are ready for a further leap in quality and, therefore, we hope that they will be able to achieve good results. In general, we can say that we have a cohesive and well-assorted squad which, we have no doubts, will give us great satisfaction!”
