BePink-Bongioanni at the Strade Bianche Women Elite
BePink-Bongioanni returns to racing in Italy, in an all-Tuscan weekend that will open on Saturday 2 March with one of the most prestigious events of the season: the Strade Bianche Women Elite (1.WWT).
The iconic Sienese challenge, the introductory test of the women’s calendar of the Bel Paese, will start from the Medici Fortress and will end in Piazza del Campo at the end of 137 km including just over 40 km of dirt road divided into 12 sectors.
The BePink-Bongioanni selection that will line up at the start of the “Southernmost Northern Classic of Europe” is made up of Ana Vitória Magalhães, Nora Jenčušová, Monica Trinca Colonel, Elisa Valtulini, Martina Testa and Irene Cagnazzo.
TROFEO ORO IN EURO – On Sunday 3 March the team will move to the province of Massa Carrara for the Gold Trophy in Euro – Women’s Bike Race (1.1), where Jenčušová, Testa, Valtulini and Cagnazzo will once again put the number on their backs. With them will be Karolina Karasiewicz and Cybèle Schneider, who took part in an international track competition in Grenchen (SUI) yesterday evening, achieving a good second place in the Madison, fourth in the Elimination and fifth in the Scratch.
In Cinquale di Montignoso (MS) 106.8 km will be tackled, with the traditional 5 laps of the flat circuit acting as a prelude to the double ascent of the Fortress, the Mountain Grand Prix which will be climbed for the second and last time 12 km from the line white.
