Crestanello won bronze in the Points Race

The first day of competition of the Italian Track Championships, scheduled until Thursday 29 June in Fiorenzuola D’Arda (PC), immediately awarded a Tricolore Jersey to BePink – GOLD and to Silvia Zanardi, gold medal in the Elimination.

The “enfant du pays” from Piacenza, who opened today’s event with fourth place in the Individual Pursuit, hit the big target in the “endurance” challenge – thanks also to an incisive sprint towards the end – and managed to celebrate the national specialty title.

For BePink – GOLD the satisfactions at the “Attilio Pavesi” Velodrome also came from the Points Race thanks to Lara Crestanello, who put the bronze around her neck.

The Vicenza native from Velo d’Astico, born in 2002, became the protagonist of an attacking race, animating the quartet – also including Matilde Vitillo – who pulled off a good “chase” and gained the lead lap, which was invaluable for the assignment of the podium steps (and, also, for Vitillo’s fourth place).
