L’Omloop het Nieuwsblad opens BePink-Bongioanni’s first “Northern Campaign”
BePink-Bongioanni continues with the competitive activity at the beginning of the season and, after the trip to Spain, will continue to compete outside the national borders by participating in a trio of races in Belgium.
This first “Northern Campaign” will open on Saturday 24 February with a prestigious event, the Omloop het Nieuwsblad, a UCI Women’s World Tour category test and the first cobbled Classic of the season.
The race, now in its 16th edition, will start from Gent and will end in Ninove after 127.1 km in which you will begin to savor the atmosphere of the Flemish routes thanks to the presence of iconic asperities such as the Muur – Kapelmuur, the Grammont wall, one of the eight scheduled climbs.
The following day the team will be at the starting line of the Craywinckelhof – Omloop van het Hageland (1.1 UCI), 129.2 km from Aarschot to Tielt-Winge, while on 27 February they will compete in Quaregnon with Le Samyn des Dames, also a 1.1 challenge UCI with a length of 114.8 km.
At Omloop het Nieuwsblad and Le Samyn des Dames the BePink-Bongioanni selection will be made up of Casagranda, Jenčušová, Magalhães, Oro, Pozzobon and Trinca Colonel. In Sunday’s sextet there will be Schneider, making his debut in the group, replacing Trinca Colonel.
